payment after terminating contract

Hey there,

I am working in Horeca. I quit my job 2 days ago. We have a one month resigning policy. Now, my employer doesn't want to give me anymore shifts for the coming month. Is this correct? He claims that he is in the right since I terminated the contract early. I just need a short yes or no.

    Dear Eileen,

    If you have a contract for a fixed number of hours per week or per month, the employer has to let you work in your month of notice. If the employer does not call you, he still has to pay for the fixed agreed hours. It is important that you make yourself available (in writing) for work during the term of notice. This does not apply if you have a on-call contract/0-hour contract. In that case, the employer only has to call you when there is work.
